Dreams

In 1966 the Lunar Orbiter 1 gave us one of the first images of Earth from space. This image represents a whole new era in how humanity as a whole understands our home, our connections with each other in the vastness of space, and the finite nature of our planet. This shift in perspective for many helped us collectively gain needed humility in the face of scientific-technical exponential growth, seek out long held knowledges of Indigenous peoples and local place connected communities, and dig deeper into the way forward to grow more sustainable and just shared futures. Below are some dreams that could be advanced through funding, collaborations, and sheer human will to work in this direction. Thanks to all who have thought collaboratively about these and work tirelessly to advance climate and sustainability justice efforts in every niche of the planet.
